COUR-CHEVERNY
The appellation Cour-Cheverny consecrates the grape-variety introduced by the king of France François the 1st. In 1519, upon royal decision, 80 000 vine-plants were transplanted from their Burgundian cradle to the surrounding of the castle Romorantin, were his mother was living. This grape-variety adapts itself so well ti the climate and the soil that it is named Romorantin of wich the appellation Cour-Cheverny has the exclusive rights. Rare, it combines strengs, vivacity, finesse to an excellent aptitude for ageing.
